Arrival of the Consular and POLO Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C., together with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office conducted a consular outreach mission at the US Naval Station (NAVSTA) in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from 20 to 21 October 2021.

The Embassy team was met by Chief Officer Z. Butts, CWO4 Food Service Officer Randy Basat, and Mr. Roy Maliwanag, a Filipino Community Leader in Guantanamo Bay. 

The team served 218 Filipinos who filed for passport renewals during the 2-day consular mission. Assistant Labor Attache Marie Josephine B. Borromeo also met with the Filipino community to discuss their employment and other labor-related issues and concerns. Filipino community members also attended a webinar meeting with Labor Attache Angela Librado-Trinidad and Welfare Officer Mae D. Codilla. ###
