WASHINGTON, D.C. – Philippine Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez visited the International Student House (ISH) of Washington, D.C. on 04 April 2022 to engage its postgraduate student residents, alumni, current and former board members, and special guests on current global and domestic issues confronting the Philippines and the Philippine Government.

“The Embassy welcomes and appreciates opportunities such as these to gain a deeper understanding on how the international student community perceives the Philippines and its policies.” said the Ambassador as he began his introductory remarks. He discussed the upcoming 2022 Philippine national elections, Philippines-US defense cooperation, COVID-19 vaccinations, nuclear energy cooperation, and ASEAN-US relations, among others issues.

The International Student House is a non- profit organization in Washington, DC as well as in many other cities around North America, Australia, and Europe.  It provides residential and inter-cultural experiences to its highly diverse international community of students, interns, and visiting scholars. ###
