WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C., in partnership with the Philippine Department of Tourism’s (PDOT) New York Office, launched the Very Important Pinoy Tour (VIP Tour) and the VIP Next-Gen, a new iteration of the annual VIP Tour, at the Embassy’s Romulo Hall on January 29, 2025.
The VIP Tour will take place from 6 to 15 July 2025 in Manila, Ilocos, and Palawan. In addition to this, the VIP Next-Gen allows younger travelers to head off and explore the waves of Siargao, apart from historic Manila and Palawan on the same dates.
A major program of all Philippine foreign service posts in the United States, the VIP Tour provides Filipino Americans and foreigners the opportunity to experience Filipino culture and hospitality and immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of various tourist destinations around the Philippines. Participants may also avail themselves of other add-on tours to destinations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao should they wish to stay longer in the Philippines.
In his remarks, Amb. Romualdez said that the VIP Tour has always been more than just a travel experience, it is a heartfelt invitation to rediscover the soul of the Philippines. “Whether you are reconnecting with family, exploring the Philippines for the first time, or rediscovering its wonders, this journey celebrates who we are and the ties that bind us,” he added.
Tourism Attaché Francisco Lardizabal went into great detail with the audience on the details of the 2025 VIP Tour and highlighted the VIP Next-Gen as requested by popular demand and feedback from past VIP Tour participants.
