At 110 years of age, Ms. Evangeline Paredes is recognized by DC Health as the oldest living resident of Washington, D.C. During and after World War II, she served the Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. in various professional capacities before embarking on a distinguished 30-year career as a civil servant at the U.S. Pentagon.
