PH EMBASSY WELCOMES KENNEDY-LUGAR EXCHANGE FILIPINO SCHOLARS AT PROGRAM’S END

High School Scholars from Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program with Ambassador Jose Manuel G. Romualdez (middle). The Kennedy-Lugar YES Program, established in October 2002, aims to build bridges between the US and countries worldwide, especially those with significant Muslim populations. The program was launched in the Philippines in 2004 in hopes to expand communication between the people of the United States and the Philippines in order to promote mutual understanding and respect.
