Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel G. Romualdez paid a courtesy call on Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary General Luis Almagro.
During their meeting, Ambassador Romualdez encouraged greater cooperation among regional organizations, such as between the OAS and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The Philippines is among 70 permanent observers in the OAS, a regional organization that brings together all 35 independent states of the Americas, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. ###
