Nurse Unseen Poster
NURSE UNSEEN explores the little-known history and humanity of the unsung Filipino nurses risking their lives on the frontlines while facing a resurgence of anti-Asian hate in the streets. The film unearths the colonial ties between the Philippines and the United States that have led to Filipino nurses becoming the unknown backbone of the U.S. and global healthcare systems. Directed and produced by Michele Josue, a Filipino-American Emmy award-winning director.

"Baseball Behind Barbed Wire" is a documentary that explores the resilience of Japanese Americans interned during World War II, who found solace and community through baseball in the confines of the internment camps. By showcasing the resilience and strength of those interned, the viewers can draw parallels to the broader struggle against Filipino and Asian hate, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the contributions and humanity of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Shown right before Nurse Unseen, it underscores the significance of unity and solidarity in combatting discrimination and prejudice against Filipinos and all Asian communities. The film was co-produced by Loi Ameera Almeron, a Filipino.
