SENTRO RIZAL DC KICKS-OFF EMBASSY ADOPTION PROGRAM WITH CHRISTMAS PAROLS
The Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC is paired with a 5th grade class from the School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens for the Embassy Adoption Program (EAP) SY 2022-2023.
To jump start this EAP series, the class was briefly taught about the Philippines and Filipino culture, and had a parol making activity to learn about Filipino Christmas traditions.
The EAP is a partnership program between embassies in DC and DC Public Schools that affords 5th and 6th grade students the unique opportunity to expand their global awareness through direct interactions with diplomats from around the world.
