WASHINGTON, D.C. – Against the stunning backdrop of the blue-green waters of the North Atlantic Ocean, two Filipinas successfully reacquired their Philippine citizenship during the Philippine Embassy’s consular outreach mission in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, from 7 to 8 December 2024.
The Embassy’s team, led by Consul General Donna Rodriguez, provided essential consular services aside from processing the two dual citizenship applications, including the processing of 81 passport applications and 6 notarial and other services.
While in Providenciales, Consul General had the opportunity to meet with the Filipino Community in Turks and Caicos Islands, where she expressed her team’s appreciation for the support and assistance provided by the organization during the conduct of the consular outreach. She also briefed the group on recent developments in consular services, including the recent passing of R.A. 11983, also known as the New Philippine Passport Act, which is expected to streamline the processes for the issuance and renewal of Philippine passports.
This outreach in Turks and Caicos is the Embassy’s tenth consular outreach mission of the year.
