Join the DMV Filipino Community in their month-long celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence in June 2023!
Various Filipino Community Organizations in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, with support from the Philippine Embassy, come united this year to jointly commemorate this milestone event with their theme “Kalayaan 2023: Bagong Pilipinas, Ang Diwa ng Pagkakaisa, Living the Bayanihan Spirit”.
Everyone is invited to the Philippine Independence Day Open Street Festival organized by the Filipino communities on 10 June 2023, Saturday from 10:30AM to 7:30PM at the Crescendo Studio (8101a Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia). Filipina Actress and Performer Diva Montelaba, and Award winning Filipino singer-songwriter Brian Termulo will serenade the community on a special performance at 8:00PM on the same day.
The festival features free admission and will take place outdoors, while the evening concert performance will have tickets available for sale. You will find Filipino cultural performances, Filipino food, Philippine related merchandise, and more at the festival.
