WASHINGTON, D.C. – Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel Romualdez formally inducted the new officers of the Philippine Nurses Association Metropolitan DC (PNAMDC) Chapter during the 50th PNAMDC anniversary gala celebration. The 50th anniversary celebration was organized by the PNAMDC with the theme “Lead with Innovation, Grit, Humility, and Transparency” on 20 November 2021 at the MGM National Harbor.

“As we continue our recovery and transition towards the new normal, the challenge for the new set of leaders remains high in terms of ensuring the preparedness and progress of the healthcare system in this and any other crisis situations. Your voices will amplify the call for increased support for the nursing community in order to respond to the new and emerging challenges that the world now faces. Just like the leaders before you, your leadership and direction will be essential in building a better and more accessible community for our ailing patients… You are the ones that create collaborative opportunities and support our two countries’ shared goals and interests, especially in terms of healthcare.” Ambassador Romualdez said in his keynote remarks.

Likewise, PNAMDC’s current president Carol Robles shared that “PNAMDC started with a WHY. It began with one very noble mission: to serve those who serve. With that simple but profound mission, it curated the vision of how it has become today, fifty years from its inception… an organization that is not merely thriving with the times but flying high with a SPARK…And in our continued effort to evolve into the state of becoming and not simply of being as an organization, we are living the call for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by welcoming nurses of different races as associate members.”###
