23 OCTOBER 2021, WASHINGTON D.C. – Philippine Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez welcomed the world class fashion designer Kirsten Regalado and the Miss Universe Iceland delegation composed of Miss Universe Iceland 2021 Elísa Gróa Steinþórsdóttir, Miss Universe Iceland Director Jorge Esteban, and Miss Universe Iceland Logistics Rick Esteban.
Ms. Regalado and Ms. Steinþórsdóttir came to Washington D.C. to showcase their work while fundraising for cancer patients at the Couture for Courage fashion show at the Westin Hotel in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Couture for Courage fashion show was organized by the Filipino American Cancer Care (FACC) organization, led by FACC President Josie Moralidad Ziman and FACC Vice President Edward Logan.
The Ambassador delivered opening remarks at the Couture for Courage expressing gratitude for FACC’s efforts in gathering aid and support for cancer patients in both the Philippines and the United States. The Ambassador also extended his appreciation to Ms. Regalado and the Miss Universe Iceland Team for supporting the FACC’s advocacy and mission. ###
