18 NOVEMBER 2021, WASHINGTON D.C. – Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Manuel G. Romualdez met with members of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA), as the Philippines and the United States celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations this year.

WACA is a national association of 90 non-partisan, non-profit World Affairs Councils in the United States. Members of the association, who are in Washington D.C. for WACA’s 2021 National Conference, requested a briefing on prospects for Philippine-U.S. relations.

“There is no doubt that the relations between our two countries are back on track and stronger than ever.  The COVID-19 pandemic has in fact brought to the fore the continued relevance of the Philippines-US relationship, with both our countries helping each other to save lives through the supply of much-needed vaccines,” Ambassador Romualdez told the group.

He also briefed WACA members on the outcome of the recently concluded 9th Bilateral Strategic Dialogue between the Philippines and the United States. ###
