The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. invites you to a special virtual conversation with Erika Isleta, a Filipino artist whose acclaimed installation “The Grim Reefer” brings attention to the fragility of coral reefs and the importance of maritime stewardship.
In this session, Erika will share her journey as an artist, her ties to Philippine diplomacy as the granddaughter of a former Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and her advocacies at the intersection of art, environment, and heritage through her striking crochet seascape.
This program is part of MANA Mo 2025 — “Nagkakaisang Kapuluan, Panatag na Karagatan”, highlighting our shared duty to protect the seas that bind us as a nation of islands.
