The Filipino-American Community of the Carolinas (FACC) hosted a meet-and-greet luncheon with Philippine Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez at The Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina .

In his remarks, Ambassador Romualdez thanked the FACC for the invitation and noted the organization’s contributions to the community. He called Filipinos and Filipino-Americans the true ambassadors and enjoined them to continue their positive representation of the Philippines. “I am proud to always be amongst you, because you are really the people that make my job as Ambassador easier.”

The FACC aims to unite Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in North Carolina and South Carolina in providing civic and community services and promoting Philippine culture and heritage. There are some 48,000 and 25,000 Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in North Carolina and South Carolina, respectively.  ###
