The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC conducted an overseas voting field registration for the Filipino Community in Trinidad and Tobago on 22 September 2024. A total of 103 Filipinos were registered, ensuring their eligibility to vote in the 2025 mid-term elections in the Philippines. 

Consul General Donna Rodriguez led the two-person Embassy team and took the opportunity to meet members of the Filipino community during their annual Sports Fest. Filipino men and women competed in basketball and volleyball, with the volleyball winners taking on local Trinidad teams in both the men’s and women’s categories. The Filipino Community Association of Trinidad and Tobago (FCATT) organized the event. Consul General Rodriguez expressed appreciation for FCATT’s assistance during the field registration.###
