PH EMBASSY DONATES FILIPINO BOOKS TO LOCAL INSTITUTIONS FOR NATIONAL BOOK WEEK

The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC was invited by the Organization of Asian Studies of the George Washington Elliott School of International Affairs to provide insights on Philippine-US relations, working with the US and ASEAN in the West Philippine Sea, international maritime security, and more. PH Minister and Consul Donna Rodriguez (center) represented the Philippine Embassy.

This donation by the Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. was made in conjunction with the celebration of the 89th National Book Week on 20-24 November 2023 in the Philippines. The Arthur D. Jenkins Library  received the following books: 1) Sinaunang Habi Philippine Ancestral Weave by Marian Pastor Roces; 2) From the Rainbow’s Varied Hue: Textiles of Southern Philippines; and 3) Hibla ng Lahi Filipino: The Artistry of Philippine Textiles.
