The Philippine Embassy presented a Certificate of Recognition to Rear Admiral Daniel McKinnon (US Navy, ret.) during a tribute luncheon in his honor organized by the US-Philippines Society at the Army-Navy Club on April 4, 2024. The Embassy recognized Admiral McKinnon’s steadfast support for the Philippines and the Filipino people and invaluable contribution to promoting friendship and cooperation between the Philippines and the United States, including his leadership in the return of the Balangiga Bells to the Philippines, provision of humanitarian assistance and support for vocational and technical training programs. Admiral McKinnon virtually witnessed the presentation and his son, Mr. Dan McKinnon (top photo left) III, accepted the Certificate from Deputy Chief of Mission Jaime Ramon Ascalon, Jr. (top photo right).
