WASHINGTON D.C. – In perfect harmony with the vibrant culture of Music City Nashville, the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC undertook a four-day consular outreach mission that resonated with the needs of the Filipino community.
The Embassy’s team, led by Consul Barbie Rosales, provided essential consular services, including the renewal of 204 passports, registration of 204 overseas voters, and the oath-taking ceremony of 107 Filipino citizens.
The Nashville outreach marked the first successful rollout of the Embassy’s e-payment system during a consular outreach mission, with cashless payments accounting for nearly 40 percent of all transactions processed.
The Philippine Embassy partnered with the Filipino American Association of Tennessee (FAAT), Inc. for the four-day consular outreach mission underscoring the importance of bringing consular services closer to Filipino citizens.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to meet and serve the Filipinos in Nashville, the so-called Music City and those from the neighboring areas”, said Consul General Iric Cruz Arribas. “Like all our outreach missions, our partnership with the local Filipino community organization made this mission a success. Kudos to the officers and volunteers of FAAT Inc. for your hardwork and hospitality.”
This outreach in Nashville is the Embassy’s fourth consular outreach mission of the year.
