The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC successfully extended pre-voting enrollment assistance to registered overseas voters during its recent consular outreach missions in the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago.

A total of 82 overseas voters received one-on-one support on their online pre-voting enrollment and were able to cast their digital ballots. The Embassy team also distributed flyers regarding the 2025 National Elections to consular clients. The Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago are home to 1,196 Filipino voters, out of the 1,589 total registered overseas voters across the Caribbean.

The field pre-voting enrollment is part of the Embassy’s broader initiative to engage the Filipino diaspora and ensure smooth participation in the 2025 National Elections. The service proved especially helpful for voters who needed support navigating the new Online Voting and Counting System, as mandated by the Commission on Elections.

“We are proud to support our kababayan in the Caribbean as they prepare to make their voices heard in the 2025 elections,” said Ambassador Jose Manuel G. Romualdez. “We remain committed to ensuring that every overseas Filipino participates fully and securely in the democratic process.”

The Embassy encourages all overseas voters in the United States and the Caribbean to complete their pre-voting enrollment early to avoid any last-minute issues when polls close on 12 May 2025, 7:00 pm Philippine time.
