WASHINGTON D.C. Seven young individuals selected to participate in the 2023 IMPACT! Filipino American Friendship Program called on Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez ahead of their two-month internship. Also present during the courtesy call were other Embassy officials and the USAI IMPACT! coordinator.

The IMPACT! Filipino-American national internship program is a partnership between the Philippine Embassy and the US-Asia Institute which provides the opportunity for Filipino-American students and young graduates to gain firsthand knowledge about the American government and political system in Washington D.C.. The 9-week professional development program aims to prepare them as future leaders that might play a role in strengthening the U.S.-Philippines relationship.
