WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. conducted its seventh consular outreach mission for 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee, from 16 to 17 August 2025.
The Embassy’s team, led by Consul General Donna Rodriguez, provided essential consular services, including the processing of 97 passport applications, 8 civil registration, and 16 notarial services. Consul General Rodriguez also administered the Oath of Allegiance to 46 successful dual citizenship applicants.
The outreach mission is an important component of the Embassy’s consular services for Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in US states under its jurisdiction, and is part of the Philippine government’s commitment to promoting the welfare of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in the United States, as highlighted by. Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez.
During the outreach, the Embassy team had the opportunity to meet with leaders of various Fil-Am organizations in Memphis and other surrounding areas, including from Mississippi. Consul General Donna Rodriguez provided an overview of the consular and other services provided by the Philippine Embassy and answered questions raised by the Filipino community. The Embassy team expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage the leadership of Fil-Am organizations in Memphis, and in particular, thanked FILAMemphis Kabayan for providing much needed assistance during the consular outreach.
