WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. conducted its tenth consular outreach mission for 2025 from 24 to 28 October 2025 in Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Puerto Rico.

The Filipino Communities in the three countries and territories thanked the Embassy team for providing essential consular services, which included the processing of 76 passports, 2 notarials and 11 dual citizenship applications. The outreach mission was long awaited, especially in Puerto Rico, where the last consular outreach was more than ten years ago. “I think the last time the Embassy conducted an outreach in Puerto Rico was in 2012 or 2013,” said Ms. Bea, one of the Filipino Community organizers. “This visit was really meaningful for us.”

For the Filipino Community in St. Kitts and Nevis, the last consular outreach was in 2019, while the Embassy last visited Antigua and Barbuda in 2022.

Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez has highlighted the importance of providing much needed consular services to Filipinos in the Caribbean, some of whom face difficulties in traveling to places where there are Philippine Foreign Service Posts to have their passports renewed or to avail themselves of other consular services.

In St. Kitts, Consul General Donna Rodriguez inducted the officers of the newly-established Filipino Community in St. Kitts and Nevis. She congratulated the new officers and reassured them of the Embassy’s support and engagement with the new organization. She thanked the new officers for their hard work and encouraged them to continue to support one another and to serve as the bridge between the Embassy and all Filipinos living and working in St. Kitts and Nevis.
