WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Philippine Embassy in Washington, D.C. held its eleventh consular outreach mission for 2025 from 8 to 12 November 2025 in Barbados, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Embassy team, led by Consul General Donna M. Rodriguez, provided essential consular services to Filipinos living and working in the three countries, which included the processing of a total of 50 passports, 7 civil registration (reports of birth, marriages), 14 notarials and 11 dual citizenship applications with 4 derivatives (minor children of dual applicants).
The outreach mission was warmly welcomed by the Filipino communities in the three countries, especially in Saint Lucia, which was the first ever consular outreach mission conducted by the Embassy. According to Filipino community organizers in Barbados, the last consular outreach was held seven or eight years ago, well before the Covid pandemic, while the Embassy last visited Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2022.
Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez has said that it was critical for the Embassy to provide services and engage Filipinos in the Caribbean, most of whom have made significant contributions to both their communities in the Philippines and their second homes in the island nations.
