WASHINGTON D.C. – The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its two-day consular outreach mission in Charleston, South Carolina, from June 29 to 30, 2024.

The Embassy’s team, led by Consul Barbie Rosales, provided essential consular services, including the processing of 129 passport applications, registration of 133 overseas absentee voters, and the oath-taking ceremony of 52 Filipino citizens.

“Our mission is to ensure that every Filipino, no matter where they are, can access the consular services they need,” said Consul Rosales. “It is our priority to bring our services closer to our kababayan, so they can reach us without having to travel far. We are also delighted to meet our kababayan in Charleston, many of whom are thriving and successful in their endeavors.”

The Embassy thanks the members and volunteers of the Filipino Community Center of Charleston who supported the consular outreach.

This outreach in Charleston is the Embassy’s fifth consular outreach mission of the year.
