Filipino communities in the Eastern U.S. are advised to undertake all necessary preparations and heed the warnings of local officials as another winter storm to the region could bring heavy snow, dangerous travel conditions, and extreme cold this weekend.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service, significant heavy snow is expected across the Southern Appalachians, Carolinas, and southern Mid-Atlantic.
The safety of Filipino nationals is the Embassy’s priority. Please monitor local weather updates, prepare for cold temperatures, limit travel, and secure important documents such as passports and IDs.
For consular emergencies requiring Embassy assistance, please call 202-368-2767 or 202-769-8049.
